Cobra kai Season 4 Quotes And Dialogue

Cobra kai Season 4 Dialogue And Quotes

Here to remind you of some of the best cobra kai season 4 quotes and dialogue.

Season 4 had and theme of effective integration so on top of giving you a lot of noteworthy writing I will also offer you my thoughts on three quotes that stood out to me by integrating them into this post. In the comments, if you can offer me your thoughts on whatever quotes or quotes from season 4 had the most meaning to you.

Episode 1

Daniel And Amanda

Daniel Larusso: I know things are less than ideal.

Amanda Larusso: A small boy was thrown through our window.

Kreese

Karate is not a phase. It's a way of life. You can leave it for a while, but it never really leaves you.

Terry Silver

Back in the'80s, I thought I could conquer the world. And I came pretty damn close. I was so hopped up on cocaine and revenge... I spent months terrorizing a teenager over a high school karate tournament. It sounds insane just talking about it.

Robby

Now, we may have taken some losses, but it's not about how you start.

It's about how you finish. And to beat the enemy, it helps to know the enemy's playbook.

So I'm gonna teach you Miyagi -Do karate, so we can beat Miyagi -do karate

Episode 2

Kreese

When something bad happens, you have two choices. You let it tear you down or let it build you up.

Sometimes a step backwards... opens a new path forward.

Episode 3

Daniel Larusso

You see my path wasn't a straight line. And yours is still being written

In Miyagi-Do, when an opponent comes swinging at you, you always respond in a circular motion. Moving in the opposite direction of what your opponent exacts. Right? Life's like that too. You could reach any goal you want, it just might mean taking the circular path.

You have a good head on your shoulders. I know you can make it happen.

Young Kreese To Young Terry Silver

Hey, remember fear does not exist. You can get through anything.

Episode 4

Daniel Larusso

It may not seem brave, but sometimes avoiding conflict is one of the most heroic things a person can do.

Amanda Larusso

No one can help you if you don't let them. If you ask, you might be surprised.

Kyler

Hey,' I'm feeling this movie, man. This jean -Claude ... van... Damn!

Terry Silver

Cobra kai, it was never about revenge, It was building strength by taking your fears and turning them into a weapon. If we're just gonna rehash the past, history will just repeat itself all over again.

Episode 5

 Terry Silver

There are three things that make a champion. The three D's Desire. Devotion. And Discipline. The first two, I can't give you. The last one, I can, but you have to be willing to receive it.

Episode 6

Johnny

Kata isn't karate. It's dancing.

What's this crap about a girls division. Thought they were all about women's lib. They ought to man up and take a punch like the rest of us.

Aisha Robinson And Sam LaRusso

Aisha: When I started my new school, there was this in my homeroom, pink for days. Looked like she walked out of a Malibu beach house. She gave me a look that I'd seen before. I just knew she was gonna be my next bully. But I wasn't gonna let the cycle repeat itself. So I walked up to her, and you know what I did?

Sam: Is this gonna be another wedgie story?

Aisha:I introduced myself. I told her I liked her shoes. I didn't, but it seemed like the polite thing to do. I told her I was new, asked if she could introduce me around.

Sam: How did that go?

Aisha: She's my bestie. My new school bestie. You'll always be the OG. I attacked my problem head on. I struck first.

I am so glad we finally got closure on Aisha, I think the quote I have extracted from her strikes upon something quite deep. It's very easy to see striking first as a call to violence when echoed from Kreeses point of view but when it's coming from Johnny as a philosophy for life it can be applied to resolve problems before they occur. Bullying is best stopped when it's in its developmental fazes. Aisha bridged the gap between offence and defence, yin and yang, the balance between Miyagi and Cobra Kai that underlined season 4.

Episode 7

Kreese

Your opponent's weakness must be exploited whenever possible.

Silver And Tory

Silver: At the tournament, you'll have to recognize that weakness. And make no mistake, we all have one.

Tory: Sensei Kreese doesn't.

Silver: Course he does. We all do.

Silver

Today, your goal is to find your opponent's weakness and attack it.No points. You hit the mat, you lose. You got it?

May the best sensei win.

Johnny To Miguel

So your mom and I are hooking up.

Not just hooking up.

Terry Silver

There. What did we learn? The common belief is you shouldn't care what other people think about you, right? Wrong. What your opponent is thinking is key. In war. In business. In a fight. Don't let your opponent think whatever they want. Make them think what you want them to think. If they think you're weak, that's when you can surprise them with your strength.

Principal

We still don't know how they got all that milk in the locker.

Kreese

We don't have the luxury of forgetting. Nor should we.

We should remember what happens to soldiers who don't follow their leader.

Episode 8

Stingray And Greg Hughes

Greg: Do you have any friends, Raymond?

Stingray: I believe it was Emerson who said that "a friend is the hope of the heart."

Greg: Yeah. Well, it was Hughes who said, 2 "Get your goddamn Frisbees off my roof or I'm calling the police."

Stingray: Hughes because it's your last name? Clever.

Listen, those are Aerobies, Greg They're not Frisbees. Different disc entirely.

Stingray

You mess with a cobra, you get the fangs.

Eli /Hawk

Prom without a date is like Halloween with no candy. There's no point.

Johnny

Old man can kick. (Talking about Silver)

Daniel

Quiet !!!

Episode 9

Announcer

It's karate time.

Kreese And Silver

Kreese: All your training has brought you to this moment. Remember, if you win, you don't get a trophy. You get the glory. And you get to know forever that you are a champion. I have had students with all the talent in the world squander their moment. Do not let history repeat itself. Do not let your emotions cloud your judgement. And above all, do not let anything stand in the way of your victory.

Silver: Just to be clear that's not a pep talk it's an order.

Daniel And Robby

Daniel: You wanted to beat Miyagi-Do so badly you gave all of our secrets.

Robby: The goal is to win. I did what I had to do.

Daniel: If all you care about is winning, then you really didn't learn anything I taught you.

Robby: You know everybody thinks their way is the only way, you, my dad, cobra kai. The truth is it doesn't matter which way you fight as long as it works. And I'll use whatever it takes to win.

Daniel: Why? To get back at your dad? Me? Sam? The world? Because if that's the case, I have another Miyagi-Do secret that you can slip to your friends. Never put passion in front of principle. Because even if you win, you lose.

cobra kai season 4 passion quote

Never Put Passion before Principle

Never put passion in front of principle. Because even if you win, you lose.

I have a strong sense of justice and that can make me forceful if  I let it, it's very easy to lose sight of the means and very easy to justify almost anything based on an ideal outcome.

Many people believe that anger or hatred is the root cause of violence but most violence comes from alcohol or action based on a sense of justice in particular a sense of victimhood.

Kreese To Robby

Are you fighting your friend or your opponent? I thought you wanted to be a champion.

Episode 10

Kreese

No matter what people say, it does matter whether you win or lose

Johnny To Miguel

You can do whatever you want if you want it bad enough. Look I know your not 100% but you got the heart of a champion. Everything you've learned everything you've been through was just a warm-up for this moment.

It's time to let the world know what you're made of.

Eli/Hawk and Daniel

Eli/Hawk: My chance to get back at Robby for what he did to me.

Daniel: This fight is not about him. The biggest battle is always the one within.

Okay, concentrate, defence, focus, power. You find your balance and those points will come. All right?

Amanda Larusso

I'm not asking you to back down. I just want you to play by the rules.

Tory expressed a desire to be first at something for once in her life and in order to do that she know she cannot cheat.

Everyone has to play some kind of a game in life and when we break the rules there are penalties and even legal penalties. Breaking the rules how Tory got kicked out of school in the first place, the problem with Kreese's strike first strike hard no mercy is that it's not a practical way to navigate life.

At the end of season 4, Tory learns she did not win fairly when she had previously stated and believed she did not need to cheat. I think this will be key to her development, having won unfairly she is beginning to get that it's how you win that counts.

Daniel And Mr Miyagi

Mr Miyagi: Just like bonsai choose one way grow because root strong, you choose own way do karate, same reason.

Daniel: Yeah, but I do it your way.

Mr Miyagi: Hai. one day, you do own way.

Kreese

You've been fighting all your life. Now it's time for all that struggle to pay off. Use all that fire inside you.

You've come this far. This is your fight now. So whatever happens, it's up to you.

Miguel

Overcoming that fear is the fight I HAVE TO face

Daniel Larusso

There's too much at stake to honour an agreement made with men who have none.

RWBY Volume 8 Chapter 1 Review

RWBY Volume 8 Chapter 1 Review

The very first scene is definitely Cinder's backstory foreshadowing, the hole scrubbing the floor thing fits in line with the whole Cinderella story so I wonder how they will switch it up. This gives us a chance to understand the origins of Cinder's evils and hopefully make her less generic. I do actually think that because she is quite literally on her knees scrubbing not so happily ever after that she was originally powerless to some form of slave master and that her lust for power is a pretty generic motivation. She may have gone from one serving one master or masters who enjoyed keeping her powerless to another master who has chosen her as a vessel for her power but paradoxically she is still the same person which I think the transition from Cinder scrubbing the floor to scratching the chair is trying to illustrate. We don't get to see her Cinder's expression when she is scrubbing the floor no hope in her eyes no defiance just servitude and no clarity on the master. Is she at such a low point she scrubs floors like that when no one is watching? She has to be in a place where Salem could influence her and why did Salem choose her of all people? Maybe as Salem was once a captive before being rescued by Ozmar she saw some part of herself in Cinder.

Restarting The tension
The tension that immediately followed the young Cinder's floor scrubbing made me sure of something, Season/Volume 7 should have been longer. I felt like they had to make the opening tense enough to get us right back to where we were at the end of last season, they almost had to overcompensate for the tension that had dissipated by the gap between seasons, I mean Salem was straight up reminding us who the F she is so we the viewer is reminded how f'd we left off.

The only joke of the episode Blake's "We're never going to sleep again, I just know it" didn't lighten the episode or relieve tension and I think that was the point. The joke basically said hey we are not going to get as depressing as a couple of fo volumes/seasons ago all that personal progress the group made in perseverance through adversity has not gone away but will still to f'd to laugh about it.
OZ
Oscar was expecting to get absolutely walloped by Nora and I feel like he is the trojan horse as far as character development. His decision not to tell the group about Ozpin's return or the truth of how he got down in the slumps was very Ozpin. The quote he gave" We can work separately and still be united sounded wise beyond his years, the type of thing Ozpin would say Ironwood noted Oscar saying things that sounded like Ozpin last season. I think Oscar's more subtle words and actions are him becoming more and more like Ozpin until he is Ozpin, this is how it happens this is how the previous Ozmar's and Ozpins became Ozpins. It's not that Oscar lied it's that he neglected to tell the truth.

Who's Side Is Time On

Yang stepping on a watch was and then seeing the suitcase was symbolic of the times. The watch owner was in such a hurry they didn't have time to take their watch, the irony, and the pictures of the young people the type of people who should have the most time. The whole scene really tried to sell to the whole imminent danger thing the rest of their lives may not be that long. Yang's attitude is basically to save the people we can save now. Rwby's attitude is what about after, you can't say either is entirely wrong considering who they are up against. Ren and Nora, Yang and Ruby are characters that have been together the longest so for them to split symbolizes the change of times in my opinion and I think it's an underlying theme.

Ironwood
This episode did a fantastic job of creating tension and then transitioning, and I think general Ironwoods was the most unexpected at least to me. Before he even gets off the phone you can feel how powerless he feels "If she makes it through our defenses everything follows will be on your hands" are the words of a man who feels powerless at present. Blaming someone else for your fear of the future is the sign of a man who is not taking responsibility for the present actions, he thinks everything he is doing is not evil it is out of necessity.
Ironwood looking at his mechanical hand gave me Darth Vader vibes. The way he looks at his hand the part of him that is not human before making inhumane decisions is very ironic he is trying to save humanity by discarding his own.
I don't think there could be more foreshadowing of Winter abandoning Ironwood than his "Thank you winter I don't know what I would do without you" line.
Ironwood straight up killing in cold blood has Winter and Harriet questioning how disposable everyone is to him. The dynamic between ironwood killing and Clover's death really shows Ironwood's duality at least that's how I saw it. On one hand, it can be seen as he does not care about life for him to kill so easily when the others are mourning clover. On the other hand, Ironwood may be thinking that the best way to prevent more people from ending up like Clover is to do what he did. Other than Winter Clover was probably his most trusted person, that's gotta take a toll when you can't trust anyone it's easy to feel like you know best, after all, you have to.

Salem's target is clearly Ozpin which means she does not know a question has been asked by Ruby otherwise any of the group could do, the real mystery is is what her question for the lamp is?
