Welcome a critique about the 3rd episode. Here I will go over some talking points you may find interesting and am open to anything you want to talk about. This page will discuss the relationship between the Intro and the penalty zone and why Sung Jinwoo's bag breaking is a subtle major turning point in his character among other things. 3 Ways Ore dake Level Up na Ken Episode 2 Is Better Than The Manwha

What I think The Penalty Zone Represents

In the intro, the colour used in the penalty zone to represent Sun Jinwoo before he grows is the same. His Evolved physique is represented by a darker night theme.

I do not think that is a coincidence. It's not exactly day and night it's more like sunset and night. I think the sunset represents the death of Sung the sun setting on who he was as the night theme is who he is reborn as.

What Happens In The Dungeon

Woo Jinchul is a manager of the Hunter Association surveillance team. We already know that only magical weapons can't hurt the dungeon creatures so only hunters can deal with them. So who deals with hunters that would be the association.

Bad things do happen in dungeons but it's rare to be as bad as what we witness in the last two episodes. Remember when Mr Song had a vote on whether they should continue or not? The association is good at estimating the strength of the dungeon so consequently it's rare for them to send a group to bite off more than they can chew. The double dungeon event is such an anomaly and there was no evidence of the statues.

You have to consider what could happen in dungeons stays in dungeons. Who knows what people could do in dungeons they could fake their own deaths or kill others and steal their loot. Lie about their findings the group decided to deceive the associates by omission by not telling them it was a double dungeon. There are all sorts of reasons people could lie about what happens in the dungeon.

Do You think Stress Plays A Part ?

A second awakening has to be a rare event. We got a clip of Jinwoo's awakening on a building site. A profession that would require strength. Is it possible that hunters can double awaken through stress? Is there a chance that a stressful situation like the double dungeon can induce a second awakening? What do the anime-only viewers think?

Why The Strength Stat

When I first read the Manwha I did not understand why at first he put all his stats on strength and nothing. I thought maybe some agility points so you can finish the 10 Kilometres run faster and dodge some attack. If you had been faster maybe your leg would not have been chopped off. But after seeing it in the anime again and thinking about the last episode and this one I think I understand why. Sung Jinwoo died cursing himself for being we got a montage of him being too weak to do anything before he says he will put all his ability points into strength.

Unfair On Purpose

After putting zero points on his ability stats perhaps the reason he is so confident he can run if needs be is because of the penalty zone. The very first foe he faces are goblins the weakest monsters the same monster we gave him a lot of hassle in the past. He is at a disadvantage that's kind of the point not only is he becoming stronger in terms of stats these adverse situations are making him a better fighter.

The Bag Has So A Lot Of Significance

During the fight, Jinwoo's bag is ripped off. I think this symbolises a couple of things. Firstly he won't be needing that not the way he thinks, this is not a typical dungeon so he does not even know if he will be able to get magic crystals. He has an interface that can magic things out of thin air. Secondly, you have to think about what Sung might take into a dungeon.  He nearly starved to death in a dungeon before perhaps he would have taken some provisions.

Thirdly it represents a releassing of restraint as soon as the bag is cut off Sung switches from defence to offence from trying to survive dungeons as he always had before hoping to procure what he could to trying to defeat the dungeon. He went from the hunted to the hunter he went from needing to survive to needing to win.
